Let SinoUK guide you through the pathway to QTS, taking away the burden of administration and helping you understand exactly what you need to do next.
SERS helps experienced teachers organise genuine, existing evidence against the Teachers’ Standards, identify gaps, prepare for interview and navigate the assessment period.
Your teaching is the evidence. Organising it should not be the obstacle.
Experienced teachers already produce substantial evidence through normal practice — planning, assessment, feedback, pupil progress and professional collaboration. The difficulty is rarely a lack of evidence; it is the time and administration needed to select, organise and present it clearly against each Standard.
Administrative burden
Collating, labelling and cross-referencing evidence alongside a full teaching timetable.
Uncertainty
Knowing which evidence is strongest, and where genuine gaps remain.
Assessment pressure
Understanding what happens at interview and during the assessment period.
Clear roles throughout the journey
The teacher produces genuine professional evidence.
The school and mentor develop and support the teacher.
SinoUK structures and supports the QTS journey.
The approved assessment provider independently assesses the candidate.

SERS-AP — Standards Evidence Review System, Assessment Period
The assessment-period extension of SERS
SERS-AP continues structured support once formal assessment has begun. Every SERS-AP follows the same format, but its content is unique to the individual candidate — based on their own evidence, their assessment documentation and the priorities identified by the assessment provider.
For candidates
Assessment Period Baseline Review
Preparation support for D4 and professional discussion priorities
Lean evidence-planning guidance
Midpoint SERS-AP review and final readiness review
For mentors
A shared candidate/mentor evidence map
Suggested areas for D3 lesson observation and verification
Clear view of the candidate’s priorities and next steps
Mentor judgement remains entirely the mentor’s own
SERS-AP does not replace the mentor, complete University assessment forms on behalf of the candidate or mentor, manufacture evidence, or make the final QTS judgement.

Mentor continuity across the assessment period where the approved arrangement allows
Limited availability because mentoring capacity is deliberately restricted
Diamond is available only where the candidate’s school and assessment provider approve the mentoring arrangement. It is not a blanket university-approved mentoring service and does not alter the independence of the formal assessment process.
Read an anonymised report excerpt with SinoUK commentary, or request a detailed illustrative sample for manual follow-up. This is not a university assessment or QTS decision.
Fictional training sample · not a real candidate or assessment
Explore a clearly labelled fictional training excerpt with candidate and mentor actions. It is not a real candidate report, provider assessment or QTS decision.
Create a consistent QTS support framework across a cohort without requiring every mentor to reinvent the process.
Schools supporting teachers towards QTS can use SERS and SERS-AP alongside their existing mentoring. SinoUK provides the review structure and guidance; your mentors continue to develop, observe and support the teacher and make their own professional judgements.
Arrangements tailored to school size and timetable
Integrity and independence
What SERS does not do
SERS does not manufacture, fabricate or write evidence on a candidate’s behalf.
SERS does not guarantee the award of QTS.
SERS does not replace the judgement of the candidate’s mentor.
SERS does not replace the approved assessment provider, which independently assesses the candidate and makes the final judgement.
SERS is an independent SinoUK ITDC support service. Formal assessment and QTS decisions remain entirely with the approved assessment provider and relevant UK authorities.
